- Directional and locational signage for the room(s) is available in upper and lower case lettering that is clearly visible.
- The corridor outside the room(s) is sufficiently wide enough (150cm+) to allow wheelchair users to pass.
- There is step free access into the room(s) from the corridor.
- The door opening width(s) is/are 75cm+ for the room(s).
- The door(s) for the room(s) is/are push pad activated.
- This is a self contained room.
- There are no time restrictions on the use of the facility.
- There is not a hearing assistance system for the room(s).
- There is a visual fire alarm beacon in the room(s).
- There is not fixed furniture within the room(s).
- There are no chairs with armrests on both sides within the room(s).
- There are floor cushions in the room.
- There is sufficient space for at least 2 people to sit comfortably in the room.
- The room does have an unobstructed minimum turning space of 150cm x 150cm.
- Floor coverings in the room(s) are not even.
- The room does not have background noise.
- The room has some soft furnishings to help absorb sound.
- These include blinds and cushioned furniture.
- There are plants in the room.
- The plants are not spiky.
- There are not pictures and ornaments in the room.
- Lighting levels are good.
- There are not spotlights in the room.
- There are vision panels in the door which cannot be obscured.
- There are external windows with blinds in the room.
- The décor in the room uses natural colours.
- There is an accessible toilet close to the facility (within approximately 50m).
- Assistance cannot be called for.
- Floor level mat could present a trip hazard.
