About
View
- The Percy Gee Building is a very large building with five main levels, in addition to a small area designated as the upper ground floor.
- There are two main lifts and four main staircases within the building.
- The levels are signed as -1, 0 (ground), upper ground floor (upper level 0), 1, 2, and 3.
- The O2 Academy connects into the Percy Gee Building on level -1.
- Stairs and the lift in the O2 Academy, can also be used to reach the staff areas of the Percy Gee building on level 0, 1 and 2.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free via slight slopes.
- The Percy Gee Building has five entrances.
- The main entrance has an automatic door and accesses the building on level 0 via a slight ramp which bypasses steps.
- The main entrance is signed as the Percy Gee Building.
- The entrances off Lord Mayors Walk on the level 0 and level -1 floors, are signed as Students' Union.
- The Square entrance is signed as Students' Union.
- The revolving door entrance into the Kitchen is unsigned.
- The main entrance provides step-free access to the level 0 via a slight ramp.
- There are slight slopes to access the Lord Mayors Walk level 0 entrance and the Kitchen entrance.
- The level -1 entrance from Lord Mayors Walk has a steep slope on approach.
- The Square entrance has over 20 steps to access the building on level 0.
Getting Around
- There is step-free access throughout the building on all levels.
- There are slight slopes across the square on level 0, as well as to access the kitchen area, and the lift near the main entrance.
- These slopes bypass steps.
- There are slight slopes on level 2 to access the west wing offices.
- There are eight 17cm steps to access the Mature Students Space on level -1. These steps can be bypassed by a platform lift.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
- There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
- Overhead and wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building.
- There are manual doors in some corridor and lobby area.

- There are 6 toilets with adaptations.
- Toilets with adaptations are located on the upper area of the lower ground floor, ground floor, floor 1, 2 and 4.
- The transfer space varies between left and right in the toilets with adaptations.
- There are additional toilets with adaptations located in the O2 Academy and within the Student Services area on floor 3.
- Ambulant toilet facilities are located in the ground floor male and female standard toilets.
- The male and female step-free standard toilet facilities are located on all floors.
- The gender inclusive step-free standard toilet facilities are located on level 0.
