Overview

Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building is step-free and level.
  • Elmfield Building has two entrances.
    Both entrances provide step-free access via a steep ramp.
    There are automatic doors at both entrances.
  • The entrances are signed as Elmfield.
  • The accessible entrance provides step-free access via ramp to the reception foyer on Level C. .
  • The alternative entrance is via a steep ramp and is located at the rear of the building.

Getting Around

  • There is step-free level access via lift throughout the building on all floors.
  • On Level C there are three steps to access room C31-C44. Alternatively there is a lift to overcome the steps.
  • Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
  • There are no seating available in the foyer or walkways.
  • Wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building.
  • There are manual doors along circulation routes throughout the building.

Toilet and Changing Facilities

  • Toilet Facilities View
    • There are 3 toilets with adaptations.
    • Toilets with adaptations are located on Level B, C and D.
    • All toilets with adaptations have a right hand transfer space.
    • The shared step-free standard toilet facilities are located on each floor throughout the building.
  • Changing Places and Changing Facilities View
    • Parent and baby changing facilities are located on Level C on the right hand corridor.
  • Washroom and Shower Facilities View
    • The shower facilities which have adaptations are located on Level C within the toilet with adaptations to the left when entering the accessible entrance.

Parking

  • Car Park View
    • The car park is located in front of the accessible entrance.
    • The car park is open air/surface.
    • The car park surface consists of tarmac.
    • There is 1 designated Blue Badge parking bay available.
