- Kroto Research Institute is a large building with five floors.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free via steep slopes.
- Kroto Research Institute has two entrances. Both entrances provide step-free access to the building.
Both entrances have automatic doors. - The main entrance is signed Kroto Research Institute, and the side entrance is not signed.
- The main entrance provides step-free level access to the Ground floor foyer.
- The side entrance is located on the right side of the building and provides step-free access to the Lower Ground floor via a steep ramp.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the majority of the building on all floors.
- On the Lower Ground floor there is a steep ramp with handrails on both sides to access Room 49-55.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
- There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
