Alternative Routes (Ground Floor)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on the ground floor and the lift is not working, there is an alternative lift route via the Frank Whittle Building (AB) opposite.
      This route is via the AB lift to levels 2, 3, or 4 via link bridge back from the Frank Whittle Building (AB).
    • The approximate length of the route is 50m.
    • Access along the route is step free and level.
    • There are manual doors to open along this route.
  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 2 View
    • If you are on the ground floor and the lift is not working, there is an alternative lift route to level 2 of the Alan Turing Building (BB).
      This route is via the CVSSP department entrance and the CVSSP/PAI/CDT lift.
    • The approximate distance of the route is 55m.
    • Access along the route includes steep slopes.
    • There are manual doors to open along this route.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (Levels 2, 3, 4)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on levels 2, 3 or 4 and the lift is not working, there is an alternative lift route via the Frank Whittle Building (AB) opposite.
      This route is via the link bridges to the AB lift, and back via link bridge from the Frank Whittle Building (AB).
    • The approximate length of the route is 50m.
    • Access along the route is step free and level.
    • There are manual doors to open along this route.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (Ground Floor - CVSSP)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on the ground floor for the CVSSP department and the lift is not working, there is an alternative lift route to level 2 for the PAI/CDT departments via the Arthur C Clark Building (BA) opposite.
      This route is via the BA lift and back via the link bridge to the Alan Turing Building (BB) PAI/CDT departments.
      There is an access road to cross along this route.
    • The approximate length of the route is 75m.
    • Access along the route includes slight slopes.
    • There are manual doors to open along this route.
  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 2 View
    • If you are on the ground floor for the CVSSP department and the lift is not working, there is an alternative lift route to level 2 of the main Alan Turing Building (BB).
      This route is via the BB lift in the main Alan Turing Building (BB).
    • The approximate distance of the route is 45m.
    • Access along the route includes steep slopes.
    • There are manual doors to open along this route.
  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If you are on the ground floor for the CVSSP department and the lift is not working, there is no alternative lift access to level 1 of the CVSSP department.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (Level 1 - CVSSP)

  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If you are on level 1 for the CVSSP department and the lift is not working, there are no alternative lift routes.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (Level 2 - PAI/CTD)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on level 2 for the PAI/CDT departments and the lift is not working, there is an alternative lift route to the ground floor of the CVSSP department.
      This route is via the link bridge to the Arthur C Clarke Building (BA) opposite and the BA lift.
      There is an access road to cross along this route.
    • The approximate length of the route is 75m.
    • Access along the route includes slight slopes.
    • There are manual doors to open along this route.
  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 2 View
    • If you are on level 2 for the PAI/CDT departments and the lift is not working, there is an alternative lift route to the ground floor for the CVSSP department via the BB lift in the main Alan Turing Building (BB).
    • The approximate distance of the route is 50m.
    • Access along the route is step free and level.
    • There are manual doors to open along this route.
  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If you are on level 2 for the PAI/CDT departments and the lift is not working, there is no alternative lift access to Level 1 for the CVSSP department.
