Alternative Routes (Ground Floor)

Alternative Lift Route - Option 1

- If you are on the ground floor, the second and third floors can be accessed via the adjacent Alan Turing Building (BB). This route is via the BB lift and back through the Alan Turing Building (BB).
- The approximate length of the route is 175m.
- Access along the route includes steep ramps.
- There are manual doors to open along this route.

Alternative Lift Route - Option 2

- If you are on the ground floor, the third and fourth floors can be accessed via the Lewis Carroll Building (AC).
These routes are via the AC lift and back along the link bridges to the James Joule Building (BC).
This route is approximately 50m long.
There is a slight ramp along this route.
There is an alternative lift route to the third floor via the adjacent Stag Hill House (AQA). This route is via the AQA lift and back along the link bridge to the James Joule Building (BC). This route is approximately 95m long. There is a slight ramp along this route. - There are manual doors to open along this route.
- If you are on the ground floor, the third and fourth floors can be accessed via the Lewis Carroll Building (AC).

- If you are on the first floor for the Undergraduate Teaching Laboratory, there is no lift route within the building, or to any exit.

Alternative Routes (Second and Third Floors)

Alternative Lift Route - Option 1

- If you are on the second or third floor, the ground or second floor can be accessed via the adjacent Alan Turing Building (BB). These routes are via the BB lift. The route to the second floor is back through the Alan Turing Building (BB), and is step-free and level. The route to the ground floor is via the external entrance to the James Joule Building (BC). There are steep ramps along this route.
- The approximate length of the route is 175m.
- There are manual doors to open along this route.

- If you are on the second or third floor, the fourth floor can be accessed via the Lewis Carroll Building (AC). This route is via the AC lift and the link bridge back to the James Joule Building (BC).
- The approximate distance of the route is 50m.
- There are manual doors to open along this route.

Alternative Lift Route - Option 1

- If you are on the fourth floor, the second and third floors can be accessed via the link bridges to the Lewis Carroll Building (AC) and the AC lift.
The second and third floors can be accessed via the link bridges back to the James Joule Building (BC). - The approximate length of the route is 50m.
- Access along the route is step free and level.
- There are manual doors to open along this route.
- If you are on the fourth floor, the second and third floors can be accessed via the link bridges to the Lewis Carroll Building (AC) and the AC lift.

Alternative Lift Route - Option 2

- If you are on the fourth floor, the ground floor can be accessed via the link bridge to the Lewis Carroll Building (AC) and the AC lift.
There is an external platform lift and slight ramp after the ground floor exit from the Lewis Carroll Building (AC). - The approximate distance of the route is 50m.
- Access along the route includes a slight ramp.
- There are manual doors to open along this route.
- If you are on the fourth floor, the ground floor can be accessed via the link bridge to the Lewis Carroll Building (AC) and the AC lift.
