Alternative Routes (Ground Floor - Main Entrance)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on the ground floor of the Learning Centre (LC) near the main entrance and the lift is not working, there are alternative lift routes to all floors via the Green lift. This route follows the exit from the Learning Centre (LC) main entrance, right towards the Library Building (LB) Library & Learning Centre entrance, for the Green lift.
    • The approximate length of the route is 115m.
    • Access along the route is step free and level.
    • There are automatic doors along this route.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (Level 1 - Purple Lift)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on Level 1 in the Learning Centre (LC) and the Purple lift is not working, there are alternative lift routes to Levels 2 and 3 in the Learning Centre (LC) via the Library Building (LB) Orange lift on Levels 2 and 4. This route is from the Purple lift to the Orange lift on Level 1. A key card is required to open the security barriers at the entrance to the library along this route.
    • The approximate length of the route is 40m.
    • Access along the route is step free and level.
    • There are automatic doors along this route.
  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 2 View
    • If you are on Level 1 in the Learning Centre (LC) and the Purple lift is not working, there are alternative lift routes to the ground floor and exit via the Library Building (LB) Green lift. This route is from the Purple lift to the Library Building (LB) Green lift on Level 1. A key card is required to open the security barriers at the entrance to the library along this route.
    • The approximate distance of the route is 60m.
    • Access along the route includes slight ramps.
    • There are no doors to open along this route.
  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If you are on Level 1 in the Learning Centre (LC) and the lift is not working, there are no alternative lift routes to Level 2 via the Purple lift.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (Level 2)

  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If you are on Level 2 and the lift is not working, there are no alternative lift routes within the building.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (Level 3)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on Level 3 of the Learning Centre (LC) and the lift is not working, there are alternative lift routes to Levels 1 and 2 via the Library Building (LB) Orange lift. There is a lift route to the ground floor and exit via the Purple lift on Level 1. This route is from the lift on Level 3 to the Library Building (LB) Orange lift on Level 4.
    • The approximate length of the route is 45m.
    • Access along the route is step free and level.
    • There are manual doors to open along this route and a key card or code is required.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.
