Alternative Routes (Ground Floor - Main Entrance)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on the ground floor of the Learning Centre (LC) near the main entrance and the lift is not working, there are alternative lift routes to all floors via the Green lift. This route follows the exit from the Learning Centre (LC) main entrance, right towards the Library Building (LB) Library & Learning Centre entrance, for the Green lift.
    • The approximate length of the route is 115m.
    • Access along the route is step free and level.
    • There are automatic doors along this route.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (Ground Floor - Green Lift)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on the ground floor in the Library Building (LB) and the Green lift is not working, there are alternative lift routes to other floors in the library via the Learning Centre (LC). This route is from from the Library Building (LB) Library & Learning Centre entrance to the Learning Centre (LC) main entrance. There are alternative lift routes within the library to levels 2, 4, and 5 via the Orange lift on Level 1.
    • The approximate length of the route is 115m.
    • Access along the route is step free and level.
    • There are automatic doors along this route.
  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If you are on the ground floor in the Library Building (LB) and the Green lift is not working, there are no alternative lift routes to Level 3.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (Level 1 - Green Lift)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on Level 1 in the Library Building (LB) and the Green lift is not working, there are alternative lift routes to Levels 2, 4, and 5 via the Orange lift. This route is from the Green lift to the Orange lift on Level 1.
    • The approximate length of the route is 40m.
    • Access along the route includes slight ramps.
    • There are automatic doors along this route.
  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 2 View
    • If you are on Level 1 in the Library Building (LB) and the Green lift is not working, there is an alternative lift route to the ground floor and exit via the Purple lift. This route is from the Green lift to the Purple lift on Level 1. A key card is required to open the security barriers at the exit from the library along this route.
    • The approximate distance of the route is 60m.
    • Access along the route includes slight ramps.
    • There are no doors to open along this route.
  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If you are on the Level 1 in the Library Building (LB) and the Green lift is not working, there are no alternative lift routes to Level 3.

    • If you are on Level 1 in the Library Building (LB) and the Orange lift is not working, there are alternative lift routes to all levels via the Green lift. This route is from the Orange lift to the Green lift on Level 1.
    • The approximate length of the route is 40m.
    • Access along the route includes slight ramps.

    • If you are on Level 1 in the Library Building (LB) and the Orange lift is not working, there is an alternative lift route to the ground floor and exit via the Purple lift. This route is from the Orange lift to the Purple lift on Level 1. A key card is required to open the security barriers at the exit from the library along this route.

This route is from the Purple lift to the Orange lift on Level 1. A key card is required to open the security barriers at the entrance to the library along this route.

Alternative Routes (Level 4 - Green Lift)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on Level 4 in the Library Building (LB) and the Green lift is not working, there are alternative lift routes to Levels 1, 2, and 5 via the Orange lift. There is a lift route to the ground floor and exit via the Purple lift on Level 1. This route is from the Green lift to the Orange lift on Level 4.
