Alternative Routes (Ground Floor - My Surrey Hive)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • There are no lifts within the Philip Marchant Building (PM).
      If you are on the ground floor of the building in My Surrey Hive and want to get to the first floor to access the Surrey International Study Centre, there is an alternative lift route via floor 3 of Senate House (SE).
      Exit the ground floor via the main entrance and turn left down the ramp and continue straight ahead.
      At the end of the walkway turn left and then right towards the Senate House (SE) floor 2 entrance.
      Enter the building via floor 2 and turn left until you see the lifts on the left.
      Take the lift to floor 3.
      As you exit the lift, turn right and enter the Surrey International Study Centre.
      Continue along the slight ramp and the main entrance to the first floor of the Philip Marchant Building (PM) is located on the left.
      You can also exit the building via the ground floor main entrance.
    • The approximate length of the route is 35m.
    • Access along the route includes slight ramps.
    • There are automatic doors along this route.
  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If the lifts are not working in Senate House (SE) there are no alternative lift routes to access the first floor from the ground floor of the Philip Marchant Building (PM).
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (First Floor - Surrey International Study Centre)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • There are no lifts within the Philip Marchant Building (PM).
      If you are on the first floor in the Surrey International Study Centre and you want to access the ground floor (My Surrey Hive), there is an alternative route available via the lift on floor 3 of Senate House (SE).
      Exit the Surrey International Study Centre on the first floor and follow the ramped corridor round until you reach the lift lobby on floor 3 of Senate House (SE).
      Take the lift to floor 2.
      As you exit the lift, turn right and exit the building via the Senate House (SE) floor 2 entrance.
      Follow the pathway ahead, left and then right and continue along until you reach the Philip Marchant Building (PM) main entrance.
      Enter the building via the ground floor.
    • The approximate length of the route is 35m.
    • Access along the route includes slight ramps.
    • There are automatic doors along this route.
  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If the lifts are not working in Senate House (SE) there are no alternative lift routes to access the ground floor from the first floor of the Philip Marchant Building (PM).
