Alternative Routes (Ground Floor)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on the ground floor and the lifts are not working, there is an alternative lift route to the second floor via the Lewis Carroll Building (AC). This route is via the AC lift and link bridges to the James Joule Building (BC) and Stag Hill House (AQA). There is an external platform lift along this route.
    • The approximate length of the route is 140m.
    • Access along the route includes a slight ramp.
    • There are manual doors to open along this route.
  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If you are on the ground floor and the lifts are not working, there is no alternative lift route to the first or third floors.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (First Floor and Third Floor)

  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If you are on the first or third floors and the lifts are not working, there are no alternative lift routes to other floors, or any exit.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (Second Floor)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on the second floor and the lifts are not working, there is an alternative lift route to the ground floor via the James Joule Building (BC). This route is via the link bridges to the James Joule (BC) and Lewis Carroll (AC) buildings and the AC lift. There is an external platform lift and slight ramp after the ground floor exit from the Lewis Carroll Building (AC).
    • The approximate length of the route is 65m.
    • Access along the route includes a slight slope.
    • There are manual doors to open along this route.
  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • This is the only floor in Stag Hill House (AQA) which has alternative step-free access via lift. If you are on the second floor and the lifts are not working, there is no alternative lift route to the first or third floors.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.
