Alternative Routes (Ground Floor)

  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If you are on the ground floor and the lift is not working, there are no alternative step-free routes to access the other floors of the building.
      There is step-free access to exit the building on this floor via the Rubix entrance using a platform lift or a steep ramp.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.

Alternative Routes (Floors 1, 2 and 3)

  • Alternative Lift Route - Option 1 View
    • If you are on floors 1, 2 and 3 and the lift is not working, there are alternative step-free ways to access the other floors.
      There is a platform lift to access floor 2 if you are on floor 1 and there is a stair lift to access floor 3 if you are on floor 2.
      However, if the main lift is not working, all lifts become inaccessible.
  • No Alternative Lift Routes View
    • If the main lift goes down, an evacuation chair would be required for all floors except floor 3 which would be made accessible for evacuation.
  • Assistance Required View
    • If all lifts are out of service or you require emergency assistance please call 01483 682002 and Campus Safety will attend. Evacuation chairs are available.
