Overview

Disability Advice Contact Details

  • The Student Centre brings together student support services, including Disability Advice, who provide confidential, pre-booked appointments in-person or online on a range of issues.
  • They also run drop-in sessions, events and other activities throughout the year.

Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building is step-free via slight slopes.
  • The Student Centre has three entrances.
  • There are double automatic doors available at all three entrances.
  • The most accessible entrance is the main entrance.
  • The main entrance is signed as Student Centre, the other entrances are not signed.
  • The main entrance provides step-free level access to the reception area on the ground floor.
  • The entrance to the right of the main entrance on Refectory Road has step-free access via a slight slope to the ground floor of the building.
  • The entrance located off East Slope Road has step-free access via a slight slope to the second floor of the building.
  • A key card is needed for access at these two entrances.

Getting Around

  • There is step-free level access throughout the building on all floors.
  • Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are carpeted, hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish and some having a patterned finish.
  • There are resting areas in some circulation routes and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
  • Overhead and wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building.
  • There are not manual doors in any circulation corridors, only to access the stairwell.
