Overview

  • About View
    • The Marylebone Building is a very large building with nine floors.
    • There are 3 lifts and 3 staircases within the building.
    • The floors are signed as B2, B1, Ground, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
      Although not part of the Marylebone Building the main lift can also be used to access floor B2 of the Luxborough Building.
  • Parking and Public Transport View
    • The venue has its own car park.
    • The nearest underground station is Baker Street.
    • The nearest train station is London Marylebone.

Getting Inside

  • There is a level approach to the main entrance of the building off Marylebone Road.
  • There is one main entrance that provides step-free access via a slight ramp. There are two automatic doors at the entrance.
    The Marylebone Building also connects to the Podium area on the ground floor which connects the Marylebone Building with the Luxborough and Chiltern Buildings.
    There is also a link to the Luxborough Building on floors B1 and 1 as well as the main lift of the Marylebone Building leading directly into floor B2 of the Luxborough Building.
  • The main entrance has signage reading 'University of Westminster Welcome'.
  • The main entrance leads to the main campus reception on the ground floor.

Getting Around

  • There is step-free access throughout the building on all floors.
  • Access to the areas on the sixth floor accessed via staircases A and C is available via lift B and by passing through other rooms and teaching areas.
  • The floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth, with a shiny finish.
  • There are no resting areas with the building.
  • There is overhead and wall mounted wayfinding as well as maps throughout the building.
  • There are manual double doors located within the circulation routes of the building.
