Entrance (Main)

Visitor Reception (Visitor Information Centre and Shop)

Toilet with Adaptations (Right Hand Transfer - Ground Floor)

  • This toilet is located on the ground floor, to the rear left of the Archaeology Gallery.
  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • This toilet is approximately 20m from the main entrance.
  • There is written text signage on or near the door.
  • The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 84cm.
  • The door has a locking handle (with a RADAR key to access).
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 165cm x 198cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the seat but it is obstructed.

  • The floors which are accessible by this lift are G, M, 1.
  • Externally the lift has: buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings, a door with a high colour contrast to the surroundings and controls at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
  • The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
  • The lift door opening width is 129cm.
  • The dimensions of the lift are 146cm x 193cm.
