The Council engages closely with the Sheffield Equality Partnership (SEP) which includes key partners like Dissability Sheffield.  Disability Sheffield is a Centre for Independent Living (CIL) run by disabled people, dedicated to supporting disabled people in Sheffield.   The organisation strives to empower disabled individuals by promoting their ability to make choices, maintain cotrol over their lives, and enjoy the same rights and freedoms as everyone else.

There is the Access Card (Nimbus) scheme which helps hundreds of thousands of disabled people each year to access entertainment venues more easily (charges may apply).
