About Porto Bello Beach

Accessibility Overview 

This beach-front resort is spread over 14 two-storey buildings, which are mostly accessible via level pathways and ramps of varying degrees.  There are no lifts.

There is step-free level access to the main entrance and to the standard toilets in reception.  There are no toilets with adaptations for disabled people in the resort.

There is step-free access via slight ramps to the restaurant and the entertainment area.  There is step-free access via steep ramps to the rooms with adaptations for disabled people, the pool area, the beach, the Kids' Club and children's playground.

The resort has 326 rooms, 4 of which have adaptations for disabled people.  We were able to survey room number 134 on the ground floor, which is accessed via a steep ramp.  The room has an ensuite bathroom with a wheel-in shower and a flip-down shower seat.  There are handrails next to the toilets and in the shower.  The journey from reception to the rooms with adaptations for disabled people takes approximately 2 minutes.

The journey from reception to the beach takes approximately 5 minutes and is via level pathways and steep ramps.

Mobility equipment is not available to hire at reception, but the hotel can provide details of local suppliers.  There are no adjoining rooms available.
